Educational Concerts

The Festival City Symphony Chamber Ensembles offer a

unique form of educational concert, aimed at informing as

well as entertaining audiences of all ages.  The concerts feature

all three ensembles (brass quintet, woodwind quintet, and string

quartet) performing music in various styles, and from different

periods in music history.  The concerts are narrated by bassoonist,

and Festival City Symphony conductor, Monte Perkins.  Players in

the various ensembles also step forward to talk about their instrument,

and demonstrate its sound quality and method of tone production.  If
